Yessss! Until now, I've been totally neglecting this one and "Time Out of Mind." Really enjoying "World Gone Wrong," too. This part of his discography has been a revelation for the past few weeks.

From "Time Out Of Mind" to "Tempest" is all killer. Keith Richards would give his arm to write something like "Pay In Blood" these days. Not loving his new "Standards/Sinatra" phase tho

Hey, Nice taste! I am an independent Brazilian musician and I am promoting my work for people of other nationalities through Last.fm. Yes, I sing in Portuguese, maybe it's strange for you to hear something in our language at first, but I hope you like my music. https://open.spotify.com/album/6XZwypPtlBLRt2mG8YfSCB https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQI8V2wQ4-k&t=510s

Isn't now the right time of the year where you should stockpile Count Chocula? Especially for your Mexican friends?

Thanks. I have no rules for what I listen to or don't. Whatever gets my foot tapping or my head bobbing or my mind churning, I'm listening to it again. Music is such a beautiful expression that can stir your emotions like little else in this world. Enjoy!

I think my circadian rhythm is messed up, as when I worked as an environmental consultant I had to be awake early and for long hours. Now it seems I can live my dream of being a night owl. My best (!) writing is at night, so either I was a vampire or a dashing Victorian thief in a past life. I want to skip mornings right now, but I have an experiment coming up and the lab's only open from 8 'til 6 pm (no wonder you claimed independence from them!) I wish I had smeared Cheese Whiz in my dad's copy of Phantom of the opera, though :P Incidentally, the Quest for Perfect Fall music is now a fight between The National and The Moody Blues.

Ah, don't worry! Night owls don't criticise their peers! :P I don't function properly in mornings. Regarding vinyl, it was the combination of the first loud pop when it touches down and my fear that the needle was going to destroy the album and getting scolded for it. I actually damaged a Disney album, those that were the films narrated by some Mouseketeer. My 6 year old head assumed you could fix a scratched vinyl with Cheese Whiz and, ah, you can imagine how it went. To this day I still relate Disney's Robin Hood with spreadable cheese!

Ah, I meant I bought that Sigur Ros with my first salary of that job. If we are talking about first album bought, I saved money as a kid and bought the vinyl single of Paul McCartney singing with some frogs and a teddy bear, so I guess that's my first ever vinyl? First CD I bought was a compilation of film theme tunes, I think my fave was the theme tune for Mel Gibson's The River. Vinyls always scared me as a kid. I had this irrational fear that when the needle dropped, it could catch fire and exploded in a million shards of notes and plastic. So CDs were safer. For the record, I did placed a CD wrong twice, with hilarious consequences (and a good riot act reading) from my dad.
