The term and tag 'Carnaval' is used in the Netherlands (and in the Flemish speaking areas of Belgium) by Dutch speakers to describe music and artists that are popular during the annual carnaval celebrations. The music is typically upbeat, full of parody and fun. In the Netherlands. Carnaval runs from a Sunday to a Tuesday between Feb and March:
