In 1986, Prince invited the little-known Bangles to record his song, "Manic Monday." It propelled the LA band to stardom, but it was only a stepping stone for guitarist, Susanna Hoffs, who, two years later, would write The Bangles' most enduring song, "Eternal Flame." Hoffs takes Songfacts behind the scenes of what was, in effect, The Bangles' epitaph - from writing the lyrics with Billy Steinberg, to recording them...in the nude! - http://www.songfacts.com/blog/playingmysong/susanna_hoffs_-_eternal_flame_/

The 1991 solo album is great, so underated but so good. My adult self appreciates more than the 13/14 year old I was when I bought the album.
