Pretty V (previously Voldy Moyo and v7backin2007) is a UK-based experimental hip-hop artist that created a wide array of sounds ranging from trap to noise to ambient. His poetic lyrics often covered politics and emotional topics, and he is still recognised by his use of Marxist aesthetics. His sound had the tendency to change drastically between albums. His Daniel Johnston-ish record Tale of Red Star was released in the same year as Liberty City, an experimental trap album that could be placed somewhere in between a Bladee album and a UK grime album. His music has gained him an international cult following of fans.
In 2024, he would announce his retirement, and pull the majority of his albums from streaming services. After this pulling of music, a compilation of "Greatest Hits" was posted. Around 2 weeks later, he would retract this statement.
