Hey, you got some ***damn good taste in music, you know that? Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" is a *** masterpiece, man. It's like a *** tribute to the wild spirit of Syd, and the way it *** builds up—you can feel every *** note in your bones. Gilmour's solos are like *** poetry, right? They're not just playing music; they're *** painting with sound. So, what's your *** favorite track on the album, or are you just blown away by the whole *** thing?

Honestly impressive to think how much quality they produced in the 70’s. Atom Heart Mother through Obscured by Clouds and all that time on the road churning it out. Then comes Dark Side of the Moon and the victory lap that was cemented by this album’s own success, the fastest selling album of their career up to this point. There is a self-awareness on here to their lot in life and how success is not all it’s cracked up to be. They could be allowed to fumble a bit and to their collective credit they came around and produced what is maybe their most important record in terms of the story, and who they were before, who they were after, and those left behind but not forgotten. This perhaps reads much more tragic were it not for just how priceless this music is, a product of hard work and a lot of growing up done in that period of professional fulfillment.

This album is fantastic, second place for me right after Dark Side of The Moon. I think my favorite track is Have a Cigar.

Think I might start listening to this once a month from now on just for the hell of it. I’m 38, and have weaned myself onto this music so much that now I’m able to hear much more then just the songs that I love and remember that time their music reflected back upon me both the innocence of youth and the cold realities of life that I was weathering through already. I can feel the longing and regret, but also the steadiness to take life on as it comes.

Good album. Its like an ancient dinosaur,aAll of the songs on it meant to be played as a whole 60 minute song. I like the albums from the past which are meant to be played as a complete experience.

IMHO it must be the other way round... I tag my music by cover, then by musicbrainz and then by myself. But not by streaming services ^^ Welcome to the machine! ;)

On the cover is also Parts 1-5 and 6-9, even in the discography on their official website.

i am absolutely cool with this. my "anger" and critics were only focused on the evil, evil music industry and i wanted to mention that at the end we as users have the control over our tags :) 'welcome to the machine' just matches this irony. IMO

BTW lastfm is the smaller problem, cause any track will be generated in their db as long as been scrobbled. the whole stats here on lastfm become dirty, because there are digital fake releases by major labels (e.g. appendix "- Remastered 2009") to push it in your stream. that annoys me even more. ;)

Shine On You Crazy Diamond parts are one of my most played tracks, but because of brackets, commas or Parts, Pts, Pulse and whatever else there is, scrobbles are spread on probably more than 10 different tags overall by all users. Same goes for Another Brick in the Wall. Last.fm should fix this (as they do on artists, like Hall & Oates and Daryl Hall & John Oates tags are the same), I believe there are about 3-4 versions of these tracks released officially (Parts 1-5, 6-9, Pulse and Delicate Sound of Thunder versions, not including Gilmour and Waters live performances)
