The first artist I ever saw play live. Kinda goofy lyrics. He had boomer opinions before there were boomers!

The guy is a month younger than my grandparents and he's still rockin'. Talk about dedication to your craft.

I'm going to download all the John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers discography and listen to my good old favorite music again. Yes, that's what I'm going to do.

Mayall's a monster magnet. Every musician that played in his band has got what it takes to be a legend!

Saw him play in Adelaide last night, what a show! Mayall's still got it, and I now have a signed copy of his latest album album. Hooray!

I have John Mayall's 'Turning Point' which dates from the same period as the Blues Jazz Fusion album, and which marked the start his experimental period - i.e. drummerless, and replacing Mick Taylor with a saxaphonist. I'm quite fond of the album, but prefer the likes of 'The Blues Alone' and 'Blues From Laurel Canyon', which have both great songs and great playing. Here - with Turning Point - the songs are sometimes a poor excuse to unleash the instruments in free flow. Great playing, but it needs to be because more often than not there's not much else! However I will say that So Hard To Share from 'Turning Point' is a great track.
