In This Skin is the third studio album by American recording artist Jessica Simpson. The album was released in 2003 by Columbia Records. It was re-released in March 2004 with three new songs.
The album was a huge success in North America, reaching #2 on the US Billboard 200 and being certified 3x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Despite being released in 2003, In This Skin went on to become the 35th best selling album of 2004 and has sold over 7 million copies worldwide as of 2020. The album was ranked #14 in Billboard's year-end albums chart of 2004 and #153 on the list of the top-selling albums of the 2000s.
In This Skin is considered to be Jessica's most authentic album as it is the first album she has written songs for and her first chance to do exactly what she wanted in terms of concept, musicality and lyricism.
