Biography
I-Land (Korean: 아이랜드) is a South Korean survival reality show organized by Belift Lab, which is a joint venture* between entertainment companies CJ E&M and Big Hit Entertainment and hosted by Mnet. The show's first season consisted of a competition of 23 male trainees with different training times and nationalities with the goal to debut in a group that will be governed by the aforementioned Belift Lab.
The first part of the program ended on July 31, 2020. The second part of the program aired from August 14 to September 18, 2020. The final seven members were chosen to be part of the group ENHYPEN, which debuted November 30, 2020.
*Joint venture: An expression of English origin, which means the union of two or more existing companies with the objective of starting or carrying out a common economic activity, for a certain period of time and aiming, among other motivations, at profit.
