Lilith (feat. SUGA of BTS) (Diablo IV Anthem)

Wiki

“Lilith (Diablo IV Anthem)” is Halsey’s remix to her original August 2021 track, “Lilith.” It follows the same story—a woman being too busy for love and only focusing on work, which was explained in a September 2021 YouTube interview. The track features SUGA, who’s a member of BTS, following December 2019’s “SUGA’s Interlude.”

This piece was featured as the main anthem of Blizzard Entertainment’s June 2023 installment in the Diablo franchise, Diablo IV. It symbolizes the game’s story—surviving years after horrific events shown in Diablo III, as well as resembling the song’s basis in Greek mythology. The title also shares the name of a major antagonist of Diablo IV—the daughter of Mephisto and Lord of Hatred, Lilith.

The single would be teased by Halsey on its release date in a tweet, sharing her excitement for the concept and games:

“Collabed with SUGA of @bts_twt on a reimagined version of “Lilith” for the #DiabloIV anthem & it goes incredibly hard… we both grew up playing the games & I’ve always wanted to do a concept with SUGA with this type of dark mythology.“

After the release, it was met with mostly positive reception with listeners praising SUGA’s performance—claiming it to be “one of the rare times a feature adds to the track.”
