Simone's vocal performance on this album is phenomenal, probably her best (at least my favorite), it's aggressive, sometimes sounds like someone being mean to you due to her interpretation, which makes a of lot sense conceptually, i would love to hear her singing like this again.

This, Consign to Oblivion and The Phantom Agony are Epica in their best form. Even though I love the band through their entire career, these three carry the peak of their creativity. Powerful lyrics and performances.

The single "Never Enough" gave me the completely wrong impression of this band, still don't really like that song. I enjoy most of this album, though.

Wow listening to this album again, I realize how much they have improved in terms of technical production. I'm not saying anything about the composition ofcourse, because they've always been as great.

All is great in this album, but especially the work on the orchestrations, there is a very sensual/agressive tonality in this album. Lot of oriental vibes too. All the songs are like gems, it creates a very special atmosphere when you listen to it. Their next albums are way more "happy"... Did I notice Simone's voice? The Divine Conspiracy is the best, easily.
