BODYGUARD” is the eighth song on Beyoncé’s studio album, COWBOY CARTER.

The production on this song is a bit of a departure from the previous songs of the album in terms of a “classic country” sound, becoming a bit more chill. This is what she meant in her Instragram post when she said: “This ain’t a Country album. This is a “Beyoncé” album”.

The lyrics of the song shows a seductive Beyoncé, offering to her lover the same protection as a bodyguard could bring to him.
